Gloucestershire Cricket Club Unlocks Year-Round Commercial Value with Permanent LED Screens
As one of the most established county clubs in English cricket, Gloucestershire Cricket Club continues to invest in ways that enhance the matchday experience while strengthening commercial performance. Faced with the growing limitations of temporary screen hire, the Club partnered with The LED Studio to deliver a permanent LED replay solution at the Seat Unique Stadium - creating greater flexibility, improved use of space, and new commercial opportunities all year round.

Challenge
Prior to the installation, Gloucestershire Cricket relied on temporary LED screens for major fixtures. While effective on matchdays, this approach brought several frustrations. Temporary structures consumed valuable concourse space, restricted access to food and beverage concessions, and came with significant seasonal hire costs.
These challenges became particularly apparent during televised matches, where large temporary screens reduced circulation and negatively impacted the overall fan experience. From an operational and commercial perspective, the Club needed a solution that delivered flexibility, unlocked new sponsorship value, and removed the logistical constraints associated with short-term installations.
The LED Studio stood out to us through the relationship built during the tender process and their approach to delivering the project within budget. What really excited us was the flexibility of the solution, moving away from temporary screens and being able to create content all year round. That’s given us a stronger commercial offering for partners, and the team have been great to work with, always on hand to support when needed.

Solution
Following a detailed tender process run with the England & Wales Cricket Board, The LED Studio was chosen as Gloucestershire Cricket’s LED delivery partner. The decision was driven by a strong working relationship formed during the tender phase and a solution that balanced performance with cost effectiveness.
The permanent Fortis Four 10mm replay screens - a 60m² display behind the Mound Stand and an 18m² display by the Thatchers Bar & Kitchen - were specified to provide year-round functionality. This enabled the Club to showcase replays, live match data, partner messaging and branded content across the season, rather than limiting usage to major fixtures.
Despite multiple stakeholders, installation progressed smoothly, with The LED Studio providing hands-on support throughout. The reliability and simplicity of the platform now allows the Club to focus on content delivery rather than technical constraints.
Results
Since going live, the screens have delivered immediate commercial benefits. The ability to display dynamic content throughout the year has strengthened the Club’s sponsorship offering, providing partners with increased visibility and more flexible activation opportunities.
From a fan perspective, the introduction of two permanent screens has enhanced clarity and consistency on matchdays, supporting replays and key moments without the disruption caused by temporary structures. Internally, the Club recognises that the move to permanent LED has laid strong foundations for future growth.
Most importantly, the Club now has a future-ready visual platform that removes seasonal constraints and opens the door to greater commercial creativity. As Gloucestershire Cricket looks ahead, the LED screens will continue to play a central role in delivering value to fans, partners, and stakeholders alike…on matchdays and beyond.
